TyreTec Trading where invited to the world launch of the new Avon RoadRider MKII last week in London, and we witness not only the funfair of this new release of motorcycle tyre range, but also we were shown a brief glimpse, and given some insight into the development of a new range. I'm sure there is always a lot of time, effort and investment involved into any new range but in this case there needed to be progress into a motorbike tyre that, at least in the UK, is probably the most successful when it comes to mid-range, classics, vintage, cafe racers and generally motorcycles that cannot fit radial tyres.
The Dunlop TT100 GP Radial is a new range from Dunlop Motorcycle Division which has taken the classic look but given the tyre a brand new DNA make up.
A new range for the fastest growing segment in the European motorbike market.
Undisputed European Sport Touring Tyre, the Michelin Pilot Road 4 is the benchmark, with sales in excess of 1.5 million tyres since its launch some four or so years ago. And that's the reason really for this years launch of the Road 5. Now in 2018 things have moved on in motoring, especially when it comes to motorcycle tyres, so Michelin wanted to bring together those four years of development into a new range, the Road 5.
We should see very soon a new range of motorcycle tyre coming out of the famous German brand with the elephant logo. Metzeler are filling a need in the market for the Classic and Vintage motorcycles from the 70 and 80's era which have not had a look in with regards their tyre development since then!!
